Welcome to our Facilities!
Car Body
The SII Lab features an XC40 car body, which was donated by Volvo Cars. This body is utilized for a variety of research projects and demonstrations focused on advanced technologies and human-centered automation. For instance, it is used to develop extended reality (xR) training solutions for operators and to test collaborative robot applications aimed at reducing the ergonomic strain on the operators.
Drone Factory
The Drone Factory is a Simulated Work Environment (SWE-Factory) that has been built for both research and education in Industry 4.0. The Drone Factory is simulating a real production environment and will:
-
Demonstrate technologies and strategies för Industry 4.0.
-
Show different methods for increased digitalization and automation.
-
Show the entire chain from product design to end customer.
