How did it all begin?
The Sten A Olsson Foundation for Culture and Research has invested 21 million SEK in Chalmers and Campus Lindholmen to expand operations and promote Smart Industry. From 2018 to 2021, the donation enabled Chalmers to upgrade facilities, build infrastructure, and invest in equipment and computing power, while also supporting project management for research, innovation, education, and demonstrations.

What do we do?
The Stena Industry Innovation Laboratory, also known as
SII-Lab operates as part of the Production Systems division at Chalmers Institution for Industry and Material Sciences, focusing on sustainability and resilience in industrial production. As an open hub for entrepreneurs and product developers, the lab offers state-of-the-art facilities to demonstrate and develop digital production systems. With resources to turn product ideas into prototypes, SII-lab serves as a showcase for the digitally connected companies of the future.
